First appointment:

What you should bring with you-

For your first session, please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time to fill out paperwork and have an assessment by your massage therapist.

Ideally, you should come wearing athletic and comfortable clothing, although many people are on breaks from work and cannot do so.  For a Thai Massage, wear comfy clothse/yoga/athletic clothing.  You may want to bring a bottle of purified water to drink after your session. *Try to not drink too much liquid before your session, it may lead to discomfort durring your session or you may have to interrupt your session to use the restroom.

What to expect-

You may have a pre-conceived notion that you will have to be completely nude infront of your therapist for your massage session- this is not true. To maximize the effectiveness of you session, it is advised that you take off everything except for your underwear, and you will be covered by a sheet and blanket for the entire session never to be exposed. If you are very uncomfortable with doing so, you will be expected to take off as much as you feel comfortable.

It is up to you to tell you massage therapist at all times whether they are pressing too light or too deep- everyone has a different pain threshhold. Deep pressure can be more effective with some techniques but you should never be in severe pain while recieving a massage. This is YOUR massage, enjoy it at your comfort level.

Make sure to leave you cell phone on silent, this is your time to relax!

Many insurance companies cover massage therapy. You may need to check with your provider as to how to obtain coverage, i.e. doctor's prescription.

The most common form of coverage is a procedure where we will provide you with a reciept upon payment and you can submit it to your insurance company to reimburse you.
